Okay, #corvid fans, I’ve got some morning stories!
We got several inches of snow overnight, the furthest trailing edge of a storm in the Olympics. The temps never dropped below freezing and everything is beautiful and melting fast.
I knew the chickens wouldn’t want to come out of the coop, so I brought them breakfast in bed. I poured a little grain out on the snow in the garden, too, for the wild birds. By the time I made it to the kitchen window inside, the crow scout had arrived. They’re so neat, but they’re so jumpy! The scout called the rest of the group over - I counted eight #crows at one point - and they descended on the chicken grain.
Next up: the ravens, with video.
