Back during WWII, my grandma, a recent widow with 2 teen girls, found out, when she moved out of her apt., that she had been paying an extra $10/mo b/c she had French doors between the living and dining rooms. Uncharacteristically ( v honest), she took them with her when she left,
("I paid for them!) stored them, and put them in her house 10 yrs later. They stayed there for 50 yrs. When she died, I took them. They don't work in my house, but someday I will find a place for them.
