back during the depression, my grandmother collected an insane number coupons from some french-language magazine she stole from the burn pile at her apartment block and mailed them in for a pair of copper-bottom sauce pans. she gave me those pots when i moved out of my parents house in ‘85. i lost the lids but i still have them. i use them literally every day. they have bakelite handles.
