Second: why red and blue? (And purple and white?)

I know why Clownpiece was red and blue in her original design. It has to do what Hecatia's hell looks like.

In Alternative Facts Hecatia describes Hell much like Buddhist hell, not like other hells we know about. Like the Buddhist hell with Oni torturers and stuff. Hecatia also thinks very highly of Clownpiece for some reason even above the Kishin, demon Oni gods roaming this place. :gyate_lapislazuli_heh:

Now that we've established that Onis exist in Clownpiece hell and that she's "above" other Onis even as a fairy the red and blue colors have a certain meaning

Gozu and Mezu (ox head and horse head) are two gatekeepers of hell that serve under the Yama. From my time looking at depictions of these in different anime and games they're usually depicted as blue and red.

This isn't a random connection too. Clownpiece in Visionary Fairy's in Shrine makes her own "Hell" under the Hakurei shrine. Seemingly on Clownpiece's own volition, not Hecatia's. :back_from_gab: :reimu_sigh:

My theory of why this was bad is because creating a "Hell" underneath the Hakurei Shrine, the border on Gensokyo, would allow Hell to invade Gensokyo at any time. If Clownpiece represents those gatekeepers then it is all the more dangerous. :back_from_gab:

The purple in Clownpiece's hat represents royalty and also divinity and immortality,, it goes a bit further too as the bells in her jester hat mirror the planets in Hecatia's headdress. :back_from_gab: :gyate_lapislazuli_heh:

In Chinese culture white represents death. Something more prominent when Junko purified Clownpiece. One of the theories about Clownpiece's role on the moon I read online was to introduce the concept of death to the Lunarians, which is why the Lunarians had trouble fighting the fairies. :back_from_gab:
