"content": "the latest drama is that someone ran the command to delete systemd temp files with the --purge option which, as you may have guessed, was interpreted by systemd as \"ah yeah purge all the files that, for the purposes of the system, could be considered temporary\" This included /home (which to me is sensible) and has resulted in people BLOWING UP at systemd and its maintainers for approaching linux \"like a landlord running everything on the cloud\" when to me, especially with the rise of immutable filesystems and people keeping /home on a totally separate hard drive....idk it makes sense from the standpoint of your system controller? It feels like making a mountain out of a molehill to me.",
