What I find so frustrating is that I agree with leftists in principle, but in practice national leftist movements have largely been a failure. The movements that could create the bottom-up change America needs tend to fizzle, either by lack of interest or the movement cannibalizing itself over self-imposed purity tests. It's funny to me that leftists will do absolutely no political organizing for four years, then whine when the presidential candidate they get isn't perfect. Most of them don't even go out to vote in the primaries. Like. What do y'all expect to happen?
We need to be organizing in our communities and in our states before we can affect the national stage, you are absolutely right. People who jump immediately to the presidency are putting the cart before the horse and, frankly, are just politically lazy and refuse to actually organize.
