I had the same thought today and it's great to see that I wasn't completely wrong with my thinking. It's nice to see that something is already happening in this direction.
Actually, one could use the Proof of Work algorithm to contain bots and spam messages? Each note must indicate a certain difficulty (same as Bitcoin).
For a single person who posts maybe 100 posts or less a day, this is not a problem. But a bot with thousands of posts per hour would need such enormous computing power. I'm thinking here of the simple principle of hashcash from #[0] . What is your opinion on this? What do you think? #[1] #[2]
