Are you arguing that the Web is dead because URLs don't matter anymore and people don't need domains or phone numbers or any long lived contact informations, since they always go through search engines and platforms search boxes?
If you are right, then yeah you don't need a sovereign version of something you don't need at all sovereign or not.
But maybe then give me your domain and phone number since your friends will find your new contacts info by Googling you, no big deal.
This is why I keep saying Nostr is not the next web, it is not even in the spirit of the web, it makes people focus too much on the discovery and ignore that most of the web is direct acccess.
Here is an invitation, count how many times you accessed people or websites directly in the next 24 hours, by their phone numbers, or domain names, or your browser history, then count how many times you accessed stuff through search. Then let's discuss if URLs are not very important for the web to work.
