I think the internet exists in that state, and it’s just a feature of it, not something that changes.
We can privatize spaces to avoid it, but the more public it is, the more dark forest-y it becomes.
I think it’s great too, mostly because I find the “woe-is-me” posts to be super annoying when people post things publicly and expect no responses or a specific type of response, and are mad when their expectations don’t match reality.
Seems like a win-win for everyone but trolls.
