I can't help but appreciate the lesson ordinals have taught folx (whether they realize it or not) about how protocol changes can have unintended consequences. Remember how every retard with a laser-eye pfp on twitter was all about signaling for taproot, without having even read the BIP or understanding what it would do. Such is life with "open sores" projects with wide popularity like Bitcoin.
