the smart time to buy them and pool mine, IF your local power supply cost was low enough, was already 6 months ago... a lot of stupid people are going to buy them now, not considering that all the pro miners already upgraded their shit and have been doing all kinds of shennannigans to keep their loans above water for the last year, thus all the ordinals and other spam attacks that have hit the bitcoin network
i also made this mistake in the previous cycle, buying into mining just prior to the blow-off peak and i ended up losing money, in total, back in 2017, i'd liquidated my rigs by january 2018
it will be the same for anyone buying rigs now, they won't make nearly as much money as they expect, if any at all, the big boys are already preparing extra capacity and will throw it on the network as the next bull run starts properly, and everyone else will see their yield drop dramatically versus their power cost
