Seems like privacy wise it's still discussed controversially. It has many connections to Google using their components/services by default.
Usually Vivaldi is not recommended in privacy concerned circles. At least not with the default settings. Even tweaked, it leaves doubts.
Not saying avoid Vivaldi, or it's bad. But it still leaves many things questionable. And does many other things much better than others.
They should take the chance now and clear out these things.
