They've tried to kill it off a few times now, for example in favour of the Mozilla Desktop Suite. They struck it lucky one time but don't understand why or care. I expect Mozilla will go the way of Yahoo and countless other "internet companies."
At that point it'll be the responsibility of others to salvage something. Now is a good time for everyone who needs to ship a browser to think about a new foundation.
