"content": "Oregon decriminalized drugs with the mandate that the state had to form a rehab system to send drug users to instead of jail. The drug decriminalization came long before the rehab system was set up and it just led to rampant drug (largely fentanyl) use in public spaces with no method of recourse. It ended up failing with drugs being recriminalized earlier this year.\n\nI think we be equally harsh on DUI convicts found driving cars after conviction and time spent in jail.",
