Second, my point is that taking away a person’s driver’s license doesn’t stop them from driving a car. We definitely need a strong, strict response with an immediate impact: jail time with rehab and community service isn’t strict enough? I say take them off the streets completely. Get them help for what’s likely an alcohol problem. Make them pay with time or money or both. Make it hurt.
