I don't know what the public versus the private sector looks like in BC but over here, Legault had a very hard time in making doctors do some time in the public sector and made threats or something in a new deal with family doctors. I can't believe we're here, private gained so much traction in the last few years.
I personally think it's Legault and his conservative party, CAQ, and before them Jean Charest and Philippe Couillard (himself a doctor) of the Parti Libéral du Québec, who opened the door to the private clinics and now the door has been ripped off its hinges. It's their fault (they're all millionaires so to them it's no skin off their nose) and they don't know how to reverse the trend because people are starting to growl. I've been on a waiting list for 5 years for a family doctor, at an age where health starts to decline a bit every year.
