I'm really glad for the good memories I have of trips to the GULF OF MEXICO when I was a child and teen, of the baskets of crabs we caught by tying luncheon meat to strings and yanking the crabs out of the water, of the rich gumbos, delicious étoufées, jambalayas, boiled crabs and shrimp, the amazing Mexican food our Texas relatives on the Gulf introduced us to.
