I'm delighted that Mexico has for centuries shared its huge gulf — the GULF OF MEXICO — with us, and has introduced many of us whose cultural experiences would otherwise have been anemic and insular to a big confluence of cultures with brighter colors than the drab ones many of us living in the interior of the US choose to paint with.
