Commodification *can* result in horrible things like regulatory arbitrage against labor regulation, and yeah, that's pretty bad. But the bad thing is not that a good has become a commodity, it's that the process to produce that commodity has been dehumanizing to its participants. We need commodities. All things being equal, it's generally good if more things *become* commodities. It means they're easy to get and their supply chains are stable.
