It's fair to say that they shouldn't wholesale copy SS uniforms, but they should take notes on what worked about them; the general good look to them was one thing, but what made them really stand out was their distinction, they were memorable and iconic. You can't just go to Wal-Mart and throw together an SS uniform, but I think you could for a Patriot Front uniform. I don't see their current look as "true to their culture" unless the point is that modern culture is bland and mostly dead (bizarre choice if that's the case but I can't argue against it). There's nothing about their look that sets them apart or makes them look distinctly American.

If you want to say dressing in old fashions is impractical, they could modernize them. I think tricornes and big boots can be brought back, personally. They look like they're dressing "safe" as if they don't want to stand out too much.
