😁 we don't have that one here, but it's good to know about. There might be some biological protection from the corn that's also in feet too 🙂. Might even be a yeast or something I will have to investigate cornmeal when I get a chance

Sudden oak decline apparently is caused by a phytophthora species (they usually cause root rot) which I had in a customers garden, killed a robinia, rose, ceanothus the conventional advice was to dig out all the affected soil 🙄... conventional gardening advice of course has to involve a lot of effort for almost no reason. Luckily I read in Matt's book you can retask phytophthora with the bacteria rhodopseudomonas palustris. Problem solved, replanted the robinia it's budding nicely after being there a year so I am clearly some kind of idiot gardener that doesn't follow normal advice...

So I guess the sudden oak decline is a symptom of poor soil management as earthworms are carriers of purple non sulphur bacteria like rhodopseudomonas palustris. Reckon it's the same with most of these diseases that suddenly wipe out large populations of trees etc, just need to prove it...
