They recently talked about why the American military makes such horrible mistakes; Judgement calls that are not in it's best interest and it has to do with the fact that bias is baked into the very essence of the military itself. Intel gathering, assessments and decisions at *every* level are already questionable so by the time it gets to the top it's completely convoluted.

It's the same thing with the government. This is why we the people can easily see what needs to happen for any given desired outcome and yet they are making decisions that seem to be not in their best interest. Literally oblivious to reality.
