We still have Wednesday afternoons off in primary school. But no compensation on Saturday. I guess Dutch kids learn about 10% faster😜
I was always told this was about being able to do sports, etc, without it stopping families from doing day-long activities on the weekend.
We have separation of church and state, but not for schools. 1/2
