And why didn't they know? Because I was never completely honest about how bad it was. I didn't share every day that it was a miracle I got out of bed. I didn't share every day that I ached from head to toe, that my eyes were so dry that blinking scratched my cornea. That my mouth and throat were so dry that it felt like knives every time I swallowed. I didn't talk about the chronic gastrointestinal problems or if I did, I would joke and downplay how bad things were.
