As I scroll through my social feed and see all the folks having large celebrations, I think about how pathetic folks like me must seem with our "isolation" and/or immediate family gatherings only. I know many of my friends think I have illness anxiety, or just out of control anxiety in general, and they feel sorry for me. But I can't help but think they don't understand why I'm so cautious because they never knew how much I suffered with my autoimmune disease before I started treatment.
