John Paul Grips (npub175d…wrtj) America needed more brilliant engineers to help us defeat the USSR, we all know that more education makes you smart! Plus ppl with highschool degrees tended to get higher-paying jobs, if everyone goes to highschool, everyone will be richer!
In practice all the compulsory highschooling did was water down whatever value highschool had, ended up lowering standards to keep graduation rates up, & also lead to four more years of brainwashing for the populace. The only thing worse than schooling is more schooling.
