Several years later having dabbled with listening to DX on shortwave broadcast at night from time to time, I'd largely forgotten about this part of my childhood.

Around 2009 ish I met a ham through my supermarket job and I recall being quite interested in the idea. A look on Youtube piqued my interest but only being 18 or 19, I spent most of my time and money drinking and such so I promptly forgot about it. 4/n
