What I have come to discover when it comes to me and pretty much anything: My motivation evaporates once I've learned how to do something. Pretty much zero juice for routine tasks. The part where most people settle into a routine is where I drop out. I need one of those movie jobs where there's an urgent call for help and it's your job to fix it.
