The story of an elderly ant who go on a survivalist journey into the wilds (the apartment) to observe the strange and dangerous giants and the wonders of the wider world.
She is skilled in combat & evasion. She battles a spider and escapes a cat. She finds food and makes a little home in a pen cap in the "flat tree of four trunks" (the desk)
Then, when she least expects it, a young ant from her home colony seeks her out for her wisdom: her family is in peril!
