I think it would depend on family size and issues. My wife had two surgeries that insurance didn't hardly cover and we paid out of pocket. I have catastrophic insurance and pay cash, my kids insurance is for catastrophic and I pay cash. We pay for medications, dental, vision etc out of pocket. It all adds up. If you have a business you don't earn a bunch on paper which could also be a factor.
I would agree that most people it won't work for. But if you think you could hit that threshold using it
