Absolutely not. You used the correct term in your own question. "assigned female at birth" is the correct term. It is also, appropriately, inclusive of trans men.
If you are specifically trying to exclude trans women because of your topic matter, that's the right way. Because there are trans men who were AFAB and have the biological characteristics you seem to be referencing.
