Yeah it's one of those weird things where we call them different names in humans and animals. They all have the same treatment too, weird.
I love folk remedies. I always prefer to treat with herbs and oils etc. I actually tried to shift the mange initially with clove oil and lavender oil but it was too far gone. The lavender did clear up the secondary infections though, I swear by it. We should always heed the wisdom of our Mammaws, they were tough old birds and had to make do without all of our modern lotions and potions etc, most of which are just straight up poisons anyway.
