I don't really spend that much time randomly browsing the internet anymore. So perhaps that is why I don't stumble upon so much irritating stuff. I usually have something specific in mind when I search.

I never use Youtube. I don't use any social media except for mastodon and gemini-related things. I also have plenty of filters on Mastodon, so I hear you there.

Overall, however, you are basically right about everything. The irritation factor of the "general" internet is overwhelming.
