I think western lolicons do recognize the difference between fantasy and reality though and I don't think it's an misappropriation to like fan art of idealized cartoon characters while not wanting to have sex with children. If that's their attraction that's their attraction. I fail to see why 2d depictions that aren't traces necessarily implies an attraction to real children, which I personally have.
