The point of being a technological civilisation is that you can decouple civilisation and industry from environmental impact. The problem with anti-nuclear activism is they are doing exactly the opposite - Germany has replaced low-carbon nuclear with Russian gas and Chinese PV but primarily with their own coal, which is a 19th century fuel.
