It's easy to understand why any of a number of terrible mistakes are made. That doesn't mean we should keep making them. There's no "irresponsible people" who forced them to set up video surveillance. They're just wannabe tyrants looking for an excuse to lord power over us. They probably just said, "But what if something unfortunate happens to your children?" and then imposed it without even asking if anyone cared.

You know who bans sparklers? Assholes, that's who! And what "irresponsible action" gave them the right to search through my bags without a warrant?
