I don't believe anyone currently has sold scanning digital backs for a while. BetterLight shut down under about 6 years ago after its owner/chief engineer died. But I've heard of people successfully modifying flatbed scanners for use on large format cameras. It's the only way I know of to do direct digital capture with an 8x10 view camera. I wouldn't want to lug it up a mountain, though.
