I worked in person for two years at the start of my career and much of that time was spent with headphones on in an otherwise silent office while we chatted on campfire. Very little “mentorship” happening. This was circa 2010.
Generally the developers you’re hoping will mentor you didn’t have mentors to model that behavior you’re desiring. WFH is less of a factor than the individuals you’re working with. (IMHO)
