I’m trying to outline a roadmap that any app or platform can follow that will advance the cause of WoT.
The basic idea is that we start out with WoT scores based on proxy indicators of trust like follows. Why? Because it’s easy to build and many nostr platforms already do this.
I think we need to prioritize the transition from proxy trust indicators to explicit contextual attestations of trust. The challenge is to do this stepwise in a manner that is acceptable to users and not overly burdensome to devs.
