binkle (npub1kdy…2hnf) as for the concrete normal direction in the second method, I think it would just be the opposite of the cameras direction wouldn't it?
Like each polygon is facing the camera by definition in view space right? So to get the direction you would take that view space direction and multiply it back into world space, but that is by definition just the cameras view direction reversed.
Looking this up people don't seem to agree on which method is better so
