oh and regarding inks, with fine nibs I find it is very important to use a saturated high contrast ink. I use many different hues but the commonality is that they show up vibrantly on the page.

I use my lighter, pastel, or less saturated inks in my stub/italic/calligraphy/flex pens. I think that’s the best way to show off those kinds of inks.
