It took me a while to write a response because I was trying not to fall for something related to buoyancy. If the calculations and models were correct, they have to be redone for a different buoyancy right?
There's a SCUBA place nearby that's linked to the school in Pensacola. I went in for Zinc plates to mitigate rust on a steel structure and I ended up in a conversation for around an hour. I think the ballast could have been used but it ended up with a 4 person conversation about the best way to dive. It's a more complex hobby than one would think.
