I think it's useful to compare chemical to chemical. Like, if someone has frozen exposed kodachrome, they're screwed unless they're okay with losing the color info. But generic black and white is easier to revive and so many small companies make chems or even emulsions. Widespread knowhow is a must. I also worry about lack of oss raw converters.
