I am still :ablobcatsweatsip: ing (nprofile…5dmj) Don't want to powerlevel too much, but I've had attempted recruitings at me a few times. Every time the offer was "your current work with salary +-$3k". I decline because it's not worth jumping around, and suddenly there's a "shortage" of workers in my particular area doing what I do.
I don't know if this is representative of other areas in IT. But from my POV part of recruiting failures is nobody is willing to bribe the people they need with a significant pay bump any more. None of my colleagues have the motivation to stop being commodity devs and pick up my specialty.
It's also choked with DEI hires now, but they get cycled through as the stopgap fillers they are.
