Wait? Why shouldn't we listen to people who accept censorship?
We all want filters. I do don't want to have to wade through endless spam on every platform.
We also don't want kids being taught every conceivable idea. We are only interested in teaching the true. So we have to censor.
I agree with the general point, however, who should have the power to censor? Basically just parents. But in reality any organization that people willingly submit to as a teaching authority also has that power. If I attend a university, I will try to chose one that will filter the crap for me. If I attend church I expect them to censor false doctrine from the pulpit.
I did not however submit to the government as a teaching authority. I use them as a regulatory authority. I expect them to limit what a person might do rather than what a person might hear or say.
