(in a letter addressed to Adolf Hitler written from the clinic Rodez on December 3rd 1943, Artaud mentions a meeting in May 1932 with Hitler in the Romanisches Café, an artist's club in Berlin. If the meeting took place is not known.)
Thus, there ARE definitely some hints. Sometimes artists hide behind art and justify anything, but not everything can be excused.
On the other hand, people are sometimes really quick in judging people from the past.
