Uncle "bygod" Gooberleg

My uncle lost his right leg in the Vietnam war. He wore his stump, which had the unfortunate field-medicine appearance of a hefty penis, with pride, never bothering with prosthetics and only covering it when temperatures steeply dropped. He was known to us kids, of whom there were scads, as "Uncle Gooberleg." He's dead now.
