Toni Frissell

Tony Frissell (1907–1988) was a photographer renowned for her innovative fashion photography and compelling wartime imagery. Starting her career at Vogue and Harper's Bazaar, she brought a dynamic style to fashion photography, often shooting models outdoors in natural settings. During World War II, Frissell shifted her focus to photojournalism, capturing powerful images of nurses, soldiers, and civilians, including the Tuskegee Airmen, bringing a humanizing perspective to the war's realities.
