Both Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, though public companies that are technically government enterprises, are currently governed by boards overseen by the Federal Housing Finance Agency.
As of March 2025, the FHFA is led by William Pulte, appointed by President Trump and confirmed by the US Senate in March.‍
Pulte’s name in Bitcoin circles should be well known. He is a scion of a construction and real estate empire and he spoke at Bitcoin 2024. He is a public bitcoiner who has been around the circuit of Bitcoin podcasts for at least the last 5 years, and was boosted to fame with his philanthropy on the Twitter/X platform.
Pulte’s role as the head of the FHFA is to supervise, regulate, and provide oversight for the housing finance sector, especially as the federal government is a conservator of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.
If Pulte would like to follow through on Trump’s promises to bitcoiners and the sounder and fairer regulatory environment that would create new opportunities and wealth for millions of Americans, then making this change in lending guidance is an absolute winner.

Having finished Milan Kundera's seminal works in English translated from Czech (The Joke and The Unbearable Lightness of Being), I was finally able to track down his French original writing starting with "La Lenteur" – yet more reading for my off-weeks in the Indian Ocean.
Kundera hits so hard as an author because he writes about the human toll of socialism, and conformity, and every page is an ode to individualism and the need for artistic passion. Plus, his obvious allusions to Robert Musil and Stefan Zweig show just how well-read he is in the Austrian fictional narrative tradition too.

You're not really answering in good faith here, since you didn't read what I wrote nor really grasp what I was aiming at., but I'll let it slide and I'll award you grace.
Many of us have worked on "policies" that restrict government action on bitcoin and cryptocurrencies. That's the whole point. The goal is to separate money and state, not fuse it.
When it comes to free markets and freedom of choice, that's literally what we're doing. Let the plebs and degens memecoin all they want, but at respect responsible self-custody bitcoiners.
Unlike many people on nostr, my audience is not the privacy or bitcoin crowd. Take that as you wish and cheers.

I explore for Bitcoin Policy Institute👇
✴️First, we need enforcement agencies and investigators to update their technological stacks.
We don't need new laws to chase down outright fraud, deception, and self-dealing, but better training.
Train agencies with better tools, and apply existing laws to crack down on scammers and criminals.
✴️Second, smart rules on money transmission licenses (state reciprocity, lower surety bonds, etc.) would spur better exchanges and custodians to safely hold assets for those who don't want to hold their own keys.
Make the rules clear and easy so everyone can start.
✴️Third, we must enshrine Bitcoin and its offspring as technological tools that empower consumers and foster innovation, rather then just a mechanism for taxing gains.
Bitcoin is the ultimate financial inclusion technology. Self-custody is the ultimate advantage.
✴️And lastly, we must alleviate rules that make it more difficult to use bitcoin and alternative cryptocurrencies for ordinary payments w/o huge tax bills.

Wanted to upgrade one of my NAS devices for some time. One of my computers i use for this is overkill: a gaming computer with 32GB, modern GPU, and sucks up a lot of power.
Had my eye on the LincPlus N1, and especially since Unraid is the base OS.
Come to find out you can "kickstarter" back the LincPlus N2 for cheaper than you can buy the N2 today. Not bad! Should deliver in April

The legal cannabis industry, from what I hear from insiders, is criminally under-informed on how they could use bitcoin today to solve their “banking” issues.
Strike API, BTCpayserver, Zeus or Breez POS could be used today. Even Alby.
Tell your cannabis dispenser (in legal states) to accept bitcoin today.
Working on an education and adoption campaign for anyone who is interested. There are Bitcoiners at the higher level (larger industries) but not enough in retail.
