One attribute I appreciate about #bitcoin is its attribute to let people be.
In #fiat, the money you earn nags at the edge of your consciousness, always demanding your attention.
“Think about me! Invest me before you fall behind! Spend me before prices go up and you lose purchasing power! Don’t put too much of me in one place as I might disappear!” Yes, fiat nags, all. the. time.
Time is scarce and fiat’s distraction keeps you from giving their time to your craft, to your art, to your passion.
Sure, a small number of people enjoy investing, but the majority does not, yet fiat demands you either play the investing game or pay the price. No alternative.
Then #bitcoin happened, and everything changed.
“Go ahead, do what you love. I’ll still be here when you come back.”
Bitcoin gives you time, gives you mental space, and does not demand anything from you because bitcoin doesn’t need to. Bitcoin doesn’t have more of it being made by some unseen actor. Maybe someday you might spend it, maybe not. It doesn’t matter. It will be there.
